Laser Therapy

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy to help you get back to what you love

The Science Behind Laser Therapy

Focused light that supports the body’s healing process

Thin Air Physical Therapy uses the LightForce XLi for deep tissue laser therapy. Laser therapy is a medical treatment that uses focused light to stimulate photobiomodulation (PBM). During PBM, photons enter the tissue and trigger a biological cascade that increases cellular metabolism, which can decrease pain and inflammation and accelerate the healing process.

Conditions We Treat

Experience pain relief and reduced inflammation for a range of concerns
Neck, Back & Sciatica

Deep tissue laser therapy may be used for neck pain, back pain, and sciatica as part of a plan to reduce pain and inflammation.

Joint & Foot Pain

Laser therapy can be considered for concerns such as shoulder pain, arthritis, and plantar fasciitis.

Sports & Soft-Tissue Injuries

For sports injuries and soft tissue damage, laser therapy may help promote tissue repair while supporting your rehabilitation plan.

Why Patients Love Deep Tissue Laser Therapy

Fast, comfortable care designed to complement your plan of care
Fast Treatment

Treatments are typically 4–7 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.

Powerful Relief

Many patients report pain relief and improved range of motion after their first treatment, with benefits that can last longer after each session.

Safe & Evidence-Supported

With minimal contraindications, deep tissue laser therapy is supported by evidence for reducing pain, increasing range of motion, and improving quality of life.

What to Expect During Treatment

A soothing warmth and a plan tailored to your diagnosis

Laser therapy is administered directly to the skin because clothing and topical dressings interfere with delivering light to tissues beneath the skin. Patients typically feel a soothing warmth, and the massage ball treatment head is often described as a “laser massage.” Patients generally see results after 3 to 5 treatments. Your clinician will develop a specific plan of care based on your diagnosis and the tissues involved; chronic conditions often require more therapy than acute conditions.
